Targeted Support in Mathematics (Enhanced)

Support for schools across both primary and secondary phases to develop and embed improvements in maths teaching and learning

Who can take part?

SSchools can access Enhanced support if they do not currently have the capacity to meet the intended outcomes of the standard teaching for mastery offer in which they are involved. Participant schools must be committed to developing a long-term relationship with the Maths Hub in order to sustain improvements in maths.

What's Involved?

Schools taking part will receive bespoke support from a Maths Hubs Enhanced Support Partner (ESP). The ESP will work with the school to develop an implementation planning process for maths which supports current and future capacity for managing change, and to build the relationship between the school and the Maths Hub.

What is the cost?

Targeted Support in Mathematics (Intensive) is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme, so is free to schools who are suitable for referral and able to make the required commitment.

Benefits

  • school leaders will follow a bespoke school development process to identify and address priority areas for maths
  • teachers will demonstrate developed practice in a focused area of maths teaching
  • school leaders will understand what constitutes good foundations for implementing teaching for mastery
