Welcome to North Mids Maths Hub website led by Painsley Catholic College in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
North Mids Maths Hub is one of a network of 40 Maths Hubs in England, working together within the Maths Hubs Programme, which began in 2014. The programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM)

Maths Hub 2024/25 Catalogue
Details of the new opportunities for schools to work with North Mids Maths Hubs and the NCETM in 2024/25 are now available. Whatever your current position, there’s something for your own professional development or to develop maths teaching across your department or school. NCETM and North Mids Maths Hubs CPD projects are for teachers of maths in all school and college phases, from Early Years to post-16.

24-18 Securing Foundation for Year 7
**NEW COURSE FOR 2024/25**
Discover ways to help students who need additional support to make good progress in KS3 and beyond
This project is for teachers working with those Year 7 students who have not met age related expectations in maths, particularly students whose attainment is in the bottom 20-30% of the national cohort at the end of KS2. It is suitable for experienced or novice teachers.

FULLY BOOKED - REGISTER INTEREST FOR 25/26
This project is for schools that are involved in Mastering Number at Reception and KS1, and are also in a Sustaining Work Group. Lead participants from Work Group schools will be two teachers – one from each of Year 4 and Year 5. Support will also be given to maths leads and headteachers.
